Fishing Lake Alice.jpg

Lake Alice / WI River

Lake Alice is a popular fishing spot. At just over 1,400 acres, it’s a great fishing lake that holds musky, pike, bass and walleye. Lake Alice is also an excellent place for paddling and boating—there are miles of beautiful shoreline to explore. Has restaranuts to visit for food and cocktails, some with gas and bait. You’ll find a boat landing nearby on Horseshoe Road.

The gateway to the Northwoods, Tomahawk’s natural beauty makes it a perfect destination for ATVing, hiking, boating and other outdoor adventures. See brilliant fall color on the annual fall motorcycle ride or speed through the snow on a snowmobile in winter on the Bearskin State Trail. Stay overnight in a log cabin at Lazy Bear Log Cabins with friends and family and experience all Tomahawk has to offer. The downtown's unique and welcoming atmosphere is the backdrop for a diverse mix of businesses with the personal service of yesteryear.  Restored historic buildings and well-maintained storefronts showcase an interesting collection of retail shops, boutiques, eating and drinking establishments.

Harrison Hills ATV/UTVTrails

The Harrison Hills trail system is a two-way trail primarily utilizing existing logging roads that traverse the area of the Lincoln County Forest known as the Harrison Hills.  The heavily forested, hilly terrain is dotted with many lakes and bogs that can be seen along the trail. Due to the hilly topography in this area, the trail has many sharp curves and steep segments. These terrain features make the Harrison Hills Trail scenic. The summer ATV trail system opens May 1st (trail condition dependent) and the majority of the system closes December 1st of each year.  Most of the ATV trail system is also open to road licensed vehicles, mountain bikers, hikers, and other recreationist. There are many roads in and around Tomahawk that permit ATVs and UTVs. The routes are marked with signs and you can ride right from Lazy Bear Log Cabins to the nearest Harrison Hills dirt trails about 8-miles / 15-minutes away.
